What advice would you give to someone new to walking holidays?

To train, the better trained you are the more you will enjoy it. And prepare mentally for the challenge, it’s important to train before not only for your muscles but for your brain, you need to know how long it takes you to walk 4km/5km so you can plan your day better and to know whether you have time to take pictures or you should just continue walking as you might be running late.
Your shoes, the footwear you will be using for the trip have to be worn before, please do not be buying new boots, and if you do make sure you have enough time before you go to use them and use them again.

What is your fondest/funniest memory on walking holidays?

The little Vibers running down some slopes in the Marmottes Valley in the Tour Mont blanc, made 10 videos of them 😉
I think walking holidays are very good to explore and enjoy a region as walking give you a different sense of exploring the nature than if you were travelling by car in the same area.
Picking up wild berries and eating them as you continue your walk are one of those small things that can bright up your day.
