Join us on a social walk from Donabate through Malahide to Portmarnock! Meet other walkers, get fit, and chat about the Camino de Santiago.

Join a group of your fellow walkers on a stroll through Donabate, Malahide and Portmarnock! We run regular walks all around Ireland to help people get fit, meet new walking buddies, and learn about the Camino de Santiago!

This is an excellent walk for anyone who is considering a walking holiday, like the Camino. The distance and elevation that you’ll cover are very similar to what a short day on the Camino de Santiago would be like!

On the walk you will be able to ask Umberto (the founder of Follow the Camino and avid Camino walker) all the questions you can think of about walking holidays around Europe. We have loads of trips to choose from and we are happy to help you plan!

At 9 AM, we’ll meet at the Donabate Dart station main entrance for some light stretching and a Camino Q&A with one of our expert Camino Planners before hitting the trail at 9:15 AM sharp.

Information about the walk:

Starting in Donabate, we will head to the beautiful coast. Easily one of the most scenic parts of Dublin, this area gives you the feel of being in a small seaside town, but with wonderful city views as well! The walk from Malahide to Portmarnock is an approx 4km elevated seaside coastal walk, skirting parkland on one side and the beach, down a small rock face, on the other side.
