Coronavirus Travel Update

Written by Fabienne

At Follow the Camino and One Foot Abroad we value the safety of our customers and the confidence they put in us. We hear and share your concern about how Coronavirus and the resulting travel restrictions are affecting all of us. We are very pleased to see that many countries are starting to reopen as their number of cases drops to a safe level.

Both Spain and Portugal are starting to welcome tourists again.

We have introduced a No Change Fee policy for all our customers, which allows them to reschedule their holidays to a later date in 2020 or 2021 at no cost and with no loss of funds already paid.

We are monitoring the situation in all of the countries that we operate in and updating any affected clients as things progress.

Each country is opening up at a different rate. The information on the dates at which each country will move to a new phase or allow the opening of new tourist services is constantly changing.

There is plenty of hope in sight, as the first post-COVID walker arrived in Santiago in mid-June.

The Cathedral, the Pilgrim’s Office and public hostels will open on the 1st of July.
