Explore Porto

Visit the historical centre of the Best European city in 2014. Portugal’s second-largest metropolis is waiting for you to explore its cobbled streets and colourful old town! Visit the coastal city and sample the local delicacies and famous Port Wine. A three-hour walking tour through the historical centre of one of the most important cities of Portugal. 

  • Porto Half Day Tour

    In this walking tour you will be able to see a bit of the daily life of the Porto citizens and their habits as well as visiting:

    Torres dos Clérigos – a beautiful baroque church dating from the 18th century.

    Livraria Lello e Irmao – one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world. This bookshop is an amazing place for booklovers.

    Avenida dos Aliados – the main Avenue of Porto is also an area full of history as well as cafes and monuments.

    Estação de São Bento – inaugurated in 1906, it once was a convent.  This train station has magnificent tiles to telling you about the history of transport as well as panels of King John I and Queen Phillipa de Lancaster.

    Ponte Luis I – a 19th century bridge showing the strength of iron in Douro River.

    Catedral da Sé – the oldest cathedral in the city, a Roman Church from 13th century.

    Bairro da Sé – the oldest and most colourful area of Porto.

    Ribeira – a historical square in the Port of the city, with medieval streets that fascinates everyone.

Discover the End of the World in Finisterre

Camino Finisterre landmark - cross

Finisterre is the traditional final stop on the Camino de Santiago and was once thought to be the most western point of Europe (hence the dramatic name!). From here, travel by bus along the infamous Costa de Morte, stopping in fishing towns Muxia, Muros and the dramatic 155-metre tall waterfall, Cascada de Ezaro. A day tour to the place where the Romans believed it was the end of the world.

  • Finisterre and Costa Da Morte – Full Day Tour

    This tour to Finisterre and the “Coast of Death” includes stops in; Ponte Maceira, Panoramic views of Carnota, Ézaro waterfall, Lighthouse and town of Finisterre, Muxía and Giant Tradicitonal Granary of Ozón.

    You will see:

    Muros – a fisherman coastal town with a great harbour.

    Cascada do Ézaro – An amazing waterfall 155 meters high and is the only waterfall in Europe that flows straight to the ocean.

    Fisterra – a rocky coast that romans believed was the end of the earth, home to the lighthouse, Monte Facho.

    Muxia – a coastal town, the final destination of the pilgrims from The Camino. A sacred place full of legends and beauty.

    Depart Santiago: Meeting point 9 AM at Plaza de Galicia (corner of the Santander Bank next to the Compostela Hotel). The guide will be waiting on the corner. Please, stay 8:55 AM at the pick up point.

    The return point is the same place at 6pm.

Visit Rias Baixas

The perfect addition for food and wine lovers! Travel from Santiago de Compostela to the Rías Baixas on a full-day tour that goes through the Galician region of Spain. Hop a boat and visit the gorgeous harbour of Salnés before hitting Rías Baixas, Pontevedra and Islas Grandes. You’ll taste gorgeous food and sample some wine from wineries in the region.

  • Rias Baixas Boat Trip – Full Day Tour

    Starting off in the capital city of Pontevedra, you will discover the narrow side streets and vibrating life of the old historical centre. After you will continue to Combarro, a village known for its archaeological heritage and Hórreos (typical Galician granaries).

    From here you will then be taken to O Grove, where you will board a catamaran that will take you along the Ría de Arousa. Whilst on board, enjoy the views and learn about the mussel production in the area and how the river is used as a hatchery. You will also have the opportunity to taste this delicacy, along with samples of Albariño wine.

    After your boat trip, stop and enjoy some free time to get lunch.

    Then continue to the capital of the Albariño, Cambados, for another wine tasting before returning to Santiago de Compostela.

Discover Basque

The northern Basque Coast is a wild and natural place full of tradition and incredible food. On this Camino day tour from Bilbao, you’ll experience a bit of what makes it so special! From UNESCO World Heritage sites to impressive bridges, and delicious treats – this tour has something for everyone.

  • Basque Coast – Half Day Tour

    Come and discover the Oldest Transporter Bridge in the world and the coastal village where you will enjoy the rough huge rock that holds on the top the old hermit of San Juan which is connected with a long stone-stair passage to the mainland.

    Next you will continue to the fishing town of Bermeo. Here you will stop to visit the narrow streets, the Juradera Church, the Ercilla Tower, the old port and the Town Hall among other sites. Later you will pass through Mundaka, a beautiful site with magnificent views of the Urdaibai Biosphere, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

    Afterwards, you will arrive at the village of Gernika to visit the Casa de Juntas or old Law House and the Basque Sacred Tree.

    Vizcaya Bridge – the first bridge made with iron and twisted steel ropes that carries both people and cars.

    Bermeo – an old and charming village with a lot to do and see on foot.

    Urdaibai Bisophere – a quick view of this declared Unesco heritage site. An ecological landscape with beaches, cliffs and forests with pre historic sites.

    Gernika – Known worldwide due to Pablo Picasso’s painting. Guernika was bombed in 1937 by the German and Italian air forces. Just a few buildings from the time still remain, but this charming town has a lot to see, such as the Tree of Guernika.

Visit Vitoria

If you’re in the region, a trip to Vitoria, the capital of the Basque region, is a must. You’ll get a tour of the medieval city, before visiting nearby vineyards and landmarks. 

  • Vitoria Coast – Full Day Tour

    Following the highway from Bilbao, you will arrive at Vitoria, the capital city of the Basque Country, where you will have a panoramic tour into the city. It is considered to be one of the best cities in Spain for quality of life and is the city in Europe with the highest number of square meters of greenery per inhabitant.

    You will do a walking tour in the old part of the city where you will see such sights as the old Inn ‘el Portalon’ from the XV century, the Virgen Blanca square, the Machete square and the Cathedral of Santa Maria among others. After your walking tour, you will arrive finally into the land of Wine, to Rioja.

    You will stop at Laguardia, a unique medieval village that still keeps the real atmosphere of the old times, with the two churches, the walls, the house shields and the narrow medieval streets among others. You will visit a traditional underground Rioja wine cellar, carbonic maceration with open pools and do a wine tasting at the end of the visit. Afterwards, there will be free time for lunch and your guide will suggest a selection of recommended local restaurants. 

    Vitoria – Panoramic tour into the medieval city centre, with buildings dating from 1500 and very well preserved.

    La Rioja – visit the land of wine with a guided visit to a traditional winery.

    Laguardia – a beautiful and charming town full of history. Walk in the medieval narrow streets and enjoy your lunch there.

Explore San Sebastian and Biarritz

Take a day tour of the French Basque Country and visit the picturesque San Sebastian, Saint Jean de Luz, Hendaye and Biarritz.

On this day tour, you’ll experience incredible landscapes and rugged coastlines from the road, by foot, and by boat!

  • San Sebastian and Biarritz – Full Day Tour

    Following the highway through the stunning natural landscape, you will arrive in Biarritz. It was a magnet for famous and royalty such as Napoleon III, Gary Cooper and Frank Sinatra, and still, nowadays it is a very important tourist destination. You will be able to enjoy the old port, the Virgin on the Rock, the streets and the beautiful figure that forms this village on the coast. Following the rugged coastal road, you will continue to Saint Jean De Luz, a lovely small village located on the French Basque coast. The house of Louis XIV and the Church of Saint Jean Baptist are the highlights, surrounded by narrow streets.

    Later on, transfer by boat from Hendaya to Hondarribia across the Txingudi (natural reserve) bay to visit this village full of history that holds a medieval fortress and a lovely area that in the past was a pirate and whaler port.

    There will be free time for lunch and your guide will suggest a selection of recommended local restaurants. Your last stop will be San Sebastian, the most beautiful city in the Basque Country to start a panoramic tour of the city. There are magnificent views up the mountain Igeldo, plus a walking tour into the old historical quarter.

    After your tour you will have free time to enjoy the city at leisure. 

    Biarritz – a walking and panoramic tour in this French Basque country.

    Saint Jean de Luz – another coastal charming village with beautiful Basque architecture.

    Hendaye – take a boat and cross the border with Spain into a naturally preserved Bay.

    San Sebastian – a city tour in the old town of this majestic city on the Cantabrian Sea.

Experience Fatima

Fatima Shrine

This half-day tour to Fatima will allow you to visit the beautiful Basilica of Fatima which was built in honour of the Virgin Mary. Fatima is one of Portugal’s most important pilgrimage destinations.

You will also visit Coimbra – one of the oldest university cities in Europe!

You will also have time to attend Mass if you wish. Afterwards, other related sites to the apparitions in the town will be visited, such as where the angel appeared and the site of the fourth apparition of Our Lady.

  • Lisbon to Fatima – Half Day Tour

    Half-day guided group tour to the Portugues town of Fatima, from the city of Lisbon. The town is significant, as it was the spot where it is believed that the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917.

    Your itinerary begins in Lisbon :

    09:00 – Depart from Lisbon 
    10:30 to 11:10 – Guided visit of the 3 shepherds old houses
    11:20 – Arrival at Fátima Sanctuary (free time to attend mass, purchase souvenirs and explore the area)

Explore Fatima from Porto

    On this guided tour you will get to visit Fatima, Portugal’s most important pilgrimage destination and Coimbra one of the oldest university cities in Europe.

    Fátima is known for its apparitions of the Virgin Mary to 3 shepherd children in 1917. Here you will visit the stunning Neoclassical Basilica and Sanctuary. You will also have the opportunity to attend mass should you wish as well as have some free time for lunch.

    After lunch, the tour will continue to Coimbra, Portugal’s only University City until the early 20th century. Here the tour will take you through the city’s narrow streets, visiting the Sé Nova Cathedral, the only church in Portugal to survive the Reconquista almost intact. Finishing the day will be a tour of the former building of the medieval Royal Palace.
