Where To Fly into for Each Section of the Camino Primitivo

People fly to the Camino Primitivo from all over the world and many of us arrive by air. There are airports all over Spain that you can fly into which will be close to the beginning of each route or stage that you walk.

And that’s why we prepared this list of the most popular places where to fly to start your Camino Primitivo!

How to get to the Camino Primitivo

You can choose to start your pilgrimage on the Camino Primitivo anywhere, but the most common starting places are Oviedo for the full Camino Primitivo and Lugo for the last 100 km of the route.

Starting in Oviedo

We recommend flying into Santander or Oviedo if you want to start your Camino Primitivo in Oviedo.

Fly to Santander and then simply take the bus to Oviedo which takes 3 hours.

Beginning in Lugo

FIy to Santiago de Compostela and then from Santiago airport to Lugo there are several buses every day.
